Join the Cause: Lake Travis ISD’s Education Foundation Hosts FORE, the Kids Golf Tournament to Enhance Student Opportunities

Lake Travis ISD’s Education Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to supporting educational excellence in the Lake Travis Independent School District, continues its mission of empowering students as they head back to school with the help of the community.

“As students across Lake Travis ISD head back to school, the support from our community becomes even more essential in shaping a bright future for our students,” says Jane Kernen, Executive Director of Lake Travis ISD’s Education Foundation. “Through our various initiatives, we aim to bridge the gap between needs in education and the resources available, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.”

One of the primary objectives of the foundation is to create impactful partnerships between the district, local businesses, and the community at large to provide students with enhanced learning experiences. By engaging various stakeholders, the foundation can fund innovative programs, teacher grants, scholarships, and other initiatives that directly benefit students’ academic growth.

“The collaborative efforts between the foundation, local businesses, and our community members enable us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Lake Travis ISD students,” says Kernen. “We are dedicated to fostering an environment where students can thrive academically, creatively, and socially.”

In line with their commitment to supporting educational initiatives, Lake Travis ISD’s Education Foundation is excited to announce their upcoming event, the FORE the Kids Golf Tournament, scheduled for October 20th at the Omni Barton Creek Country Club at Lakeside. The tournament serves as a fun and engaging way for community members to get involved and contribute to the foundation’s mission of enhancing education in the district.

“We are thrilled to invite the community to participate in our FORE the Kids Golf Tournament,” says Kernen. “This event not only raises funds for our educational programs but also fosters a sense of togetherness and support for the students and educators in Lake Travis ISD.”
